today's lazy goings ons

Don't you just get excited for fall? I do. That little bite in the air is so perfect.

I just spent the whole glorious afternoon outside chatting with good buddies and watching my kiddos play with friends.

I didn't wash my sink of dishes, clean my kitchen windows that bear the evidence of most of last weeks meals on them (thank you, Wrennie-babes), or work on the baby quilt. And I didn't even feel guilty. amazing. Maybe it was the mother's yoga class I went to today. seriously relaxing.

Now if I just had someone to whip up some kind of a dinner with the giant eggplant in my fridge (thank you, my Amish friends! .... more on that later). And, since we're dreaming here, if they could throw together some baked apples with cream for dessert that would be the perfect end to the perfect fall day.

What do you all love about fall? (You can see I'm just assuming everyone loves fall....how can you not?)

I love to see the temple

During our month in Portland we lived 5 minutes from the LDS Temple. We went there with Granny Sunday afternoon during her visit. Here are just a few shots from the day.

Pumpkins and chatty witches

She was absolutely charming, really a spellbinding conversationalist. We were just enchanted.

Does it get any cuter?

Last Saturday Gran Lori, Granny Barbs, and I took the little ones to Gardner Village. So fun but whew! lots of people. Still, we had a great time looking at ALL the pumpkins, spotting the different witches tucked here and there, and eating some delightful cookies from the bakery.

Only wish Dada could be here. We miss him. Judd-man told me tonight that we need to "go to he." Yes, I think we do.

a little boy

This is a post just to declare that I don't have a baby anymore. He walks, he says mamamamama (I interpret that as 'mom'), and his little face is all grown up. We took this picture today at California Adventures. He thought the candy corn patch was pretty neat.
